About Work for Trades

Work for Trades helps tradespeople and trade companies find public-sector work. We collect official tender notices, sort them into 29 construction trades and show them by town, region and council, so you can see what is open for your trade near you.

Homeowners and contractors can also post jobs for free, and tradespeople can browse and respond to them. Browsing is free; the Pro plan shows every tender matched to your trade in full, with saved tenders and a weekly digest. See pricing.

Where the tenders come from

Every tender comes from an official UK government source: Find a Tender, Contracts Finder and Public Contracts Scotland, used under the Open Government Licence v3.0. We check for new notices every 3 hours. Always check the official notice before bidding. More detail: where our tender data comes from.
